My last two finals ahead & everything seems to be going very well for now.

This semester passed more quickly than I expected -as usual- and I guess I haven’t realised the fact that I’m about to complete my second year at the university - or have I? Maybe it’s because all I really focus is make the most of my finals and look forward to going back to home, my comfort zone. (:

I’m very grateful for the things that I learned this semester. 18 21 credits and the busiest schedule I’ve ever had drove me mad but now, knowing that I’m so close to pass them all is enough to make me proud. This “thing” somehow still motivates me. Sometimes it becomes really indispensable for one not to huff & puff about the routine of the days and the teachers’ eagerness to put all the finals on the same week. & The moment when I started feeling as if whatever I did wasn’t enough for me to reach somewhere, I took a break from studying for my finals & I began to read my old works - all of those essays, MLA papers, reflection papers & of course, my silly presentations -ugh.

Was I able to prepare them a few years ago? -No- Did I have all of those authors & poets in my life before? -No- Did I have any idea about how we are kept under some sorts of ideologies? -No- (Many thanks to my Popular Culture teacher!!! :) OK.. & Did I enjoy the process of learning all of these things? A giant Y E S, please. I think looking back & seeing that how far you’ve become/the person you’ve become might be the very motivation that we helplessly need to keeps us going for further & further. I’m glad to be reminded of this quotation after all:

• Bless YOU!: This man never runs out of ideas! Two videos of Eminem (Long time no music, is he still alive? Ha! He is so punctual! ★) & the funny lyrics… 01:02 - 01:06 Never fails to make me smile. And I received a thank from him on his birthdaaay! - No, I’m not going to faint this time.

• Okay Cupid: I don’t really care how much dislikes this video has received/will continue to receive. It’s obvious that she is just having fun & I just love all the simplicity in the video (:

• Crayon Dragon: The first time I watched this, I was at a loss for words. And I’m still wondering how this video without any speech made me feel as if I was reading a fantastic story book..

The last but not the least… 

• I want you to meet my new favourite artist; Teebs! This week all I listened to was Ardour & to be honest, I didn’t even need any other artist, strange, as if his music got everything I needed. He skates, makes music and paints!  & The video that I watched over and over again - I’m enchanted, sir. (By the way, the picture above is one of his works ;)

I needed to be reminded that I have a Tumblr account!

I know it’s been a very long time since I sat down and decided to update my page. And what led me to update is.. Re-reading my entries (☺&☻) which I posted almost in this time last year. The fact that I was always in a “complainer” mood made me laugh as the things haven’t changed for this term and nor have my attitudes.

This term, I started taking Literature courses in a real sense & when I compare my hard work in this term with the last year, let alone being equal, they are not even close to each other. And I was forced -please, underline - to befriend a couple of famous writers! I would say it was a great pleasure for both me and them if they weren’t that much… Boring! - There, I said it. Richardson’s obsession with the real meaning of virtue, Defoe’s determination in formal realism to portray 18th century’s state of mind really bored me to the death! Because once you get the gist, the rest of the story becomes less intriguing and every little detail starts to be taken from a blue point of view, which leads me to think…

What if I stop reading right now? I can follow the rest of it on SparkNotes.. But what about my obligations for this course? Would Fielding take this as betrayal? What about the honesty, virtue? What would Pamela think of me right now? 

This is how one’s life could be driven by the novels. Fortunately, I met Fielding. The man with a -relatively- good sense of humour brought fun back in my life thanks to his great ability to satire! (How I’d pity the taste of 18th century folk if they didn’t have him! - Yup, I’m in the habit of evaluating the works from 21st century perspective regardless of what period they were written in) And today, I took my last midterm in Novel class & Gym class which were (My gym class adventures could make a whole new entry on their own but to cut it short, despite some injuries, they were the most amusing parts of my term! & That light feeling after the class… definitely priceless! ;) & How badly I’ll be missing those times) just before the finals, and before…

I was happily looking forward to this moment as one of my favourite bands is coming to my university - at last! I’m not likely to sit down and wear my We are not amused attitude as I’m deeply regretting what I was busy/involved with this time last year - Ugh. Well, All I’m wishing to have fun to the fullest before my finals!! & Just before the summer break… :) I’ve already start making plans but not about the places I want to visit or the books I want to check. I guess I’ll be working - how strange to type this, Hmm.. I need to get used to it, *repeats* I’m going to the work, yes, I am working at.. Woop! *echoes back* - As I have several plans for the next summer which require me to work hard this summer to make them happen. For now, I’m just hoping all goes well (:
